Mrs. Luk Lee Shou King 陸李秀瓊女士 was born in Macau in 1923. When she became an orphan in her early childhood, Shou King, the youngest daughter of three, was taken in by her eldest sister.

After years of hard work, she graduated from the Teacher Training Program and worked as a teacher for about six months. Soon thereafter, at 23, Shou King married her husband, Luk Cheong. Later that year, they had their first child, David, followed by John, Annie and Nellie. With a growing family to take care of, she became a full-time housewife and mother. In addition to her four children, she helped take care of her three nephews. She took a leading role in her children's and nephews' education by assisting them with their studies. It was also important for her to ensure her children developed adept morals, planned for their future, and performed to their full potential by continually acting as a supportive figure.

Her husband passed away in his early 50's, leaving Shou King as the sole caregiver of her four children. She never complained, and provided unwavering support to her children. Despite her small stature, she travelled independently across the globe to visit her family into her eighties. She was understanding, caring, intelligent, and dignified. She will always be remembered by all who knew her.
